All i have are words to take your heart away.
Emerge KL 2012.
Tuesday, September 04, 2012
it has definitely been a journey.
this whole two months has been a ride; an exciting one i could say especially in this season and time.

unfortunately, i did not have the chance to enjoy all three days as out of four sessions, i could only attend one. :/ two of them were spent in the nursery, another one backstage.

with Emerge, i did a lot of things i didn't think i would do. for example, the beauty pageant. then there was the roti canai competition and Future in Neon. it was all exhilarating but so scary at the same time. this has definitely been the season of stepping out. now, i'm only hoping that i get to step out to Korea. /prayshard

with Yee Xuan.

serving in nursery twice during Emerge was really fun. i have missed it so much. having babies falling asleep on your shoulder, having them reach out to you, having them look for you and trust you; its so simple yet so fulfilling. sure i missed out on watching POS and being in service but its fair exchange.

Future in Neon was nerve-wrecking. we were working on the outfit till the very last minute but i guess you could say our effort paid off. we were told that we were fourth and for non-professionals, its a really good placing. it was a eye-opening experience for me since i'm someone who's bad in the fashion, make-up, hair thing. i was in charge of our model's hair and this is the first time i have touched somebody's hair let alone style it into something. Thank God it turned out alright. ^^

her hair's supposed to like flames from Statue of Liberty's torch.

was serving for Sunday's morning service, overslept and missed the beauty pageant and manhunt finale, got to church in time to have dinner and attend the last service. it was my first time since Emerge started that i got to be in the hall. D: it was good, Ps. Kong preached and my heart was breaking when he mentioned that it may be his last time preaching to us. i can't even begin to imagine the hurt and pain he and Sun are going through. when i cried, i cried for them too. :'(

somehow, i could relate to what Ps Kong and Sun are going through. mine is not as severe, of course but the past one week has been terrible in so many ways and in some ways, the emotions and thoughts i had were most probably what they felt too. Ps Kong talked about trusting in God, having faith in Him no matter the outcome and to me, God said "its time to trust". it is the most difficult thing to do in this world; i can't even begin to comprehend the concept of letting go but God is good and above all, God can be trusted. so yea, its a lesson i need to learn and apply.

one thing i regret though is not being able to invite friends for this conference. i'll definitely make it my goal the next time around.

below is a picture taken with Audrey, Miss Emerge KL 2012 (also our model and costume designer for Future in Neon). so happy and proud of her! :D

back to studying now. good night!
God bless!

its been super busy as expected. can't really write anything in a chronological order. so, i'm just gonna blog whatever that comes into my mind. one of the most recent event was the BNTS/ANTS camp back in Ipoh. travelled back last Thursday and attended the camp as a first aide. and no, i do not have any experience with first aid. :/ which explains why i am so ever grateful that the only first aid i performed was putting a plaster on a girl's hand.

the rest of the camp was spent in the media room (which is air-conditioned :D) playing cards and practicing my snap while the campers march under the hot sun or sit in classes being coached on goal setting and whatnot.

the picture below was taken after we threw water balloons and splash water on each other. the water balloons were for the games we prepared for the campers but it started raining and we had to send the campers back in to avoid any of them falling sick. then, we took the liberty of not wasting the water balloons we made and had fun while at it.

camp helpers.

it was pretty uneventful but it did make me realize how much i miss marching and how smart and handsome the Boys' Brigade uniform is. anyone looks good in it, even girls.

went for dinner with the BFFs immediately after the camp ended. really glad for the opportunity to meet up with them because i thought i wouldn't be able to. we had a very compressed and efficient sharing over the 2 hours-ish time we had together. (: we managed to catch up on the important stuff and then nearly died twice on the way home but all was good and in no time, i was on the train back here.

before i left for camp, there was a Mamak competition where my team mate, Jolene and i were to make roti canai in the most creative manner possible. it was interesting, i guess but not very successful unfortunately.

what else? so far i'm concentrating on the Future In Neon stuff. was in uni these past two days helping out with the student help desk booth. a good experience plus we get to meet people and hopefully, invite them to CF and all that. explains the lack of sleep i'm getting.

i finally entered modern communication with the help of a borrowed phone from my stepmum. i'm on whatsapp, instagram and viber, play games on my phone and constantly updated through facebook and twitter. feels exciting but i need to get a data plan first. heeh.

this should be it. i've got a few posts planned in my head and in the drafts that i've been meaning to write. will get to them soon.

goodnight and God bless!

i got you, little runaway.

Neon Run.

every day has been busy. even when i'm just sitting at home, somehow there's something to do. this sem break is definitely not a holiday. plus i'm starting to freak out about Future in Neon because we have not started anything at all and there's only about 2 weeks left. *AHHHHH!* i can get real stressed up when what i should do is focus my energy on getting it done. not to mention, i have not done any research for my thesis yet. :/

this feels more like some rant post. ah, well. i'll be heading back to Ipoh on Thurs for the ANTS/BNTS camp. i'm praying that it'll be good and nobody gets hurt.

sorta kinda looking forward to starting my third year. it'll be real interesting and stressful and hectic. i like a life like that but i must get my act together and make sure i'm putting all my effort into making everything work. D:

here's a cute gif that quite accurately summarizes all i feel throughout this break. hope it cheers you up though.

God bless and have a great week ahead!

아름다운 밤이야.
Tuesday, July 24, 2012
so, i did all the things that was listed in the previous post. it was super fun, super tiring but super worth it. :D

Mummy came down on Tuesday and we had a good lunch and i got to drink (finally) the green tea + red beans in Starbucks. heeh.

finally got to see the Mickey Mouse exhibition. thanks, my personal Chinese teacher. :D

got to eat cream puffs too!

most probably the most nerve-wrecking time of my life (so far). this was how i looked during the beauty pageant. and no, i didn't get into the finals. there could be a chance later on as there was a miscalculation that happened but, meh, i want to eat to my heart's content. D:

dodgeball was really fun. got hit a few times really hard but no bruises, thank God. p.s. the ball is soft, so it doesn't hurt!

Ps Mike Connell was here during the weekend and all three services were real powerful. too bad i was serving in the nursery. ):

was really blessed because i got to have McD hotcakes twice in the entire week and pancakes on Friday. not to mention, my food was paid for a few times. ^^

will be heading back to Ipoh tomorrow which means no Internet. i'll see you when i see you!

God bless!

suit up!

i'll keep this short cus i need to get back to studying for my abnormal psy quiz.

Saturday: Service was really good! everyone in church is always on a hype when Ps. Kong comes to CHCKL but this time, it was even a bigger deal because he brought along quite a lot ppl (famous ppl at that) for the Crossover service.

the service was even held in two parts where we had a short break in the middle to fill our stomachs and empty our bladders. the two services were filled with performances. we had performances by our own dance group, Taiwanese artists, O School (which is the largest dance academy in South-East Asia) and of course, Sun.

Ps. Kong

Ps. Kong shared about Sun's crossover project and how successful it is and also the ups and downs they went through. its was really awe-inspiring to listen to everything they did for God. not to mention, this is the first time

Sun Ho

i was really touched by Sun's testimony and encouraged too. (: overall, it was a great experience and its really too bad if anyone missed it. in case you're curious, i did manage to take a few videos of the performances. they're over at my youtube account.

after service, i got the opportunity to watch Avengers and the movie is EPIC. abuden? but i was sitting in the first row and everything seemed to move so fast! planning to watch it again with more appropriate seat. :D

and i am so in love with Jeremy Renner. he plays Hawkeye in Avengers but i started noticing him in the 4th Mission Impossible. he's so good-looking! :DD

and he's so super yeng in this scene! kyaaaa~

Sunday: was serving in nursery. lots of babies to take care of which meant i couldn't catch what Ps. Kong was preaching about. went for lunch with cell group and we celebrated Elysia's super belated birthday!

with birthday girl!

the whole gang :D

after lunch, i went home and crashed; literally. and now, i gotta get back to my notes.

till the next time, goodnight and God bless!

no reservation, faith don't be silent.

aflame!
Tuesday, May 01, 2012

i am really glad i decided to go for this camp. its great being able to take a weekend off to spend time getting closer to God and learning more about Him. Pastor Steven Low was the speaker and it was such a blessing to have him in my group because i got some really good advice from him during our devotion time.

"If a guy opens the car door for a girl, either the car is new or the girl is new."

the fellowship was awesome. meeting new friends and spending time together forces me out of my bubble and teaches me to be more open about myself, i guess. they are such wonderful ppl too!

we had fun working together during games and brainstorming for the sketch. this was one of the reasons why i missed camp so much! the feeling of working together to achieve a common goal, when we laugh together, when we protect our treasure together, when we eat together, its really the feeling of unity. its nice to know i'm not alone and when i was freaking about the sketch, i still knew that they'll be there to pull it through. camps are good stuff!

the games were good! we had to make things out of fruits, caterpillar crawl, get bombed by water balloons, make sandballs and eat wasabi crackers (thank God, i got my question right!). the last game which was Lifeline was fierce! i got scratched on my arm by some girl trying to steal our treasure but we were goood and we won the game!

another highlight of the camp would be the Banquet Night. the guys in the camp drew names and had to pair up with whoever they picked and go to dinner with them. ^^ it was an interesting experience. it isn't often that you get guys to pull out chairs for you and be all nice and gentlemanly. keke. my 'date' was really sweet and kinda cute. :DD Campfire was really fun too. i learned an African Christian song! and had so much marshmallows, i felt like puking. heeeh.

"Hold on to Jesus~"

my group, the Fiery Falcon won which is so amazing! it was truly a happy moment. (: to my group members, Sheng Yi, Kevin, Gideon, Caroline, Sonia and Chareessa, thank you for the great time we had and may God bless all of you always!

its always sad when the camp draws to an end and we gotta get back to reality but the memories, the friends, the lessons from God that were acquired during this camp; I will always keep.

God is good all the time and all the time, God is good.

first quarter of the year flying by in rocket speed!
oh no, where have my time gone? and here i am blogging while i still have a proposal to finish. -.-

Singapore trip was good but it was laced with sadness and farewell. it was a very sudden decision but one that had to be made. i'm sorry. ):

school's going to be busy and my weekends are packed till the next month. this is good news of course. keeping busy means keeping focused and not dwell on unnecessary and energy-draining nonsense.

prayer meeting on Tuesday was real good. the ALM band was amazing and for the first time in a long time, praise and worship was like the good old times during camp which i've missed so much. (:

in conclusion, for now, my attention and focus will be on my studies and God. no distractions, no side tracks.

with this, i bid goodnight and God bless!

little reasons to smile.
Tuesday, April 10, 2012
its been a while since i started serving in the nursery. at first, i would leave the nursery after serving not wanting to go back again. i felt like a fish out of water because i didn't know how to take care of the babies and also because my heart wasn't really in it. but there was a service in church that really struck me and i prayed that i would enjoy serving, enjoy doing it for God. well, ever since then, i've always looked forward to the weekends i get to go in and see the babies. ^^

its not just because i want to serve God that i look forward to being in the nursery but because to see them smile is the simplest yet one of the greatest joy i've ever felt. you make a funny face or say some gibberish words and they'll laugh and smile at you. how simple is that happiness! although of course, i'm not successful all the time but its definitely rewarding each time you see a baby smile. (: they're beautiful even when they sleep too (but that may be due to relief of not having to deal with their crying).

i'm still quite young but i feel like my maternal instincts have kicked in ever since i started and i would look at babies in malls or anywhere else and wish that i have my own. :D i know its difficult to raise one (its difficult to even take care of them for 2 hours) but can you imagine the joy and happiness when you hold your very own baby in your arms? i'd imagine it'd feel pretty wonderful.

these babies have taught me a lot too. how to be patient, how to be persistent, how to be tired and still take care of them, how to handle their tantrums, how to change their diapers and prepare their milk. how to let go of myself and go to their level of simplicity and naivety. i hope this will groom me to be a good mum. heeeeh.

anyway, this is just a random thought i had since i saw these pictures on FB.

goodnight, everyone. (: God bless!
may you have the opportunities to feel this simple joys!

Chromeheart: Revelation
Monday, April 09, 2012
its been busy the past 4 days, mainly due to CHCKL's awesome Easter production, the second installation of Chromeheart; Chromeheart: Revelation.

but before all that, i had a girls' day out with Andrea and Chareessa. we watched We Not Naughty and had lunch in Popeye's. (: even helped Chareessa buy an umbrella which came into good use when we left Pyramid.

as some might know, i went for all four times that the production was playing. the first three times with new friends and the last one because i was serving in nursery.

this time around, the production was brilliant (not to say the first one wasn't). the stunts were breathtaking and your heart can't help but be excited and nervous at the same time as you watch them battle at the end. i particularly loved the choreography; it was so captivating. ^^

i still felt that it was pretty amazing after watching it for the 4th time. it really has the ability to pull you in to their world, their realm and make you want to stay so that it never ends. but it did and i'm definitely looking forward to the next production already. :D

Siew Min, Elysia, Chareessa

this is it for now. goodnight, everyone! God bless!

stereo hearts.
Wednesday, August 31, 2011
hello, all! i cannot believe i have been away from this place for so long. its been two weeks since my last post and that, i believe is the new record. you know what that means? you're in for a long ride, so sit tight. (:

well, my second year at Sunway Uni has started. still the same old routine, get to class, get told of all the assignments we have and get lectured. apparently they have lightened our work load this sem, so hopefully this means less stress, proper sleep and pretty skin. ^^

with fellow classmate, Chareessa!

starting my second year wasn't the only exciting thing around. A conference called Vision 2020 held by C3 happened last week and took place in Sunway Convention Centre. i had to rush to Sunway on its first day because my class ended late and sorta missed the praise & worship but i managed to attend the rest of the conference on time, so all was good. heeeh.

Ps. Kong Hee.

praise and worship was awesome. but what was really amazing was the offering challenge each time. they can really move you, the things they say and they're so eloquent and words just come out so naturally that you can't really help but be in awe. challenging people to give more than they want or can is never the easiest thing in the world but they sure made it look that way.

then, there was the preaching. the conference took place over three days, Ps. Phil preached for the first day, Ps. Kong for the second day and Ps. Phil again for the third. actually, Ps. Phil didn't even preach on the third day because he started praying for various countries and that took most of the time. it was something i don't see very often and watching Ps. Phil pray and prophesying for all these different countries, it made me wished he said Malaysia but that will be too many people on stage. still, it was a good experience and the presence of God was overwhelming at that time. you get goosebumps just watching.

the conference took place from Tuesday to Thursday and on Friday, there was an event called Love KL. every time C3 have their conference in whichever city they're in, they will donate a certain amount of money to that place. so this time, they donated to a family who suffered from an accident, the husband and wife were involved in a motorcycle accident and they couldn't work because of that. the miraculous thing was that the husband who came to receive the money and he came on crutches because his foot wasn't completely healed yet but during altar call at the end of the event, he came out to receive Christ and he was healed! i believe that's the first time i've witnessed a healing. ^^

the other person/ organization that received the money was this voluntary group of people who does search and rescue and things like that. the money will be used to purchase a new ambulance.

oh oh, and something else that was very exciting (but not very much when it was happening) that happened was that i had dinner with Ps. Saras and Ps. Dave. Ps. Dave was introduced on stage during the conference because he was in Pakistan and raised the dead twice. so when i saw him with Ps. Saras and found out I was going to dinner with them, lets just say i was freaking out in my head but the dinner went well and awkward conversation will always be awkward. it was most probably the chance of a lifetime to meet someone who has risen the dead before, so i am absolutely grateful to God for getting a chance like this.

after the conference was the weekend of CHC's 10th year anniversary and dedication service. the service was awesome with performances and Ps. Phil giving the offering challenge and Ps. Kong preaching. (: it was also my second time serving in the nursery and man, can i say how energy draining it is in there but its all worth it. the babies are so adorable!

we made a placard!

and the rest of week went wonderfully. had homemade bak kut teh on one of the days. didn't taste very bad. hehe.

and OMONA, GD, TOP & TAEYANG WILL BE COMING TO KL FOR A CONCERT ON THE 24TH SEPT! CAN I SEE SOMEBODY PUT THEIR HANDS UP!

MERRY HAPPY CHRISTMAS!
Thursday, December 25, 2008
and so the Miss Universe of 2008 is Miss Venezuela!
she's the one in the yellow dress. gorgeous dress btw.

lol. random. BIG news first.

MY CHRISTMAS WISH CAME TRUE!
well, technically it wasn't a christmas wish, i was just hoping it'll happen but it never crossed my mind it will happen so freakin' soon!

A JOINT STAGE BETWEEN BIG BANG AND TVXQ!
what could possibly be hawter than that? can't wait to watch them. i think i could possibly suffer a stroke then, that is if i'm not dead by now by just thinking about it.

Phantom of The Opera is depressing. at least he didn't die in the end. i wonder how the ACS play will be next year. its a pretty hard act to follow. fingers crossed ppl.

its currently 3:50 am. lol. had ice blended original whatever in Kopitiam after the 80s Christmas Party in church. so i'm like awake now. i was sleepy before but then i rewatched the vid up there and was instantly knocked awake. i mean, they're super hawt! right, i shall shut up now.

the party was kinda okay? it was awkward cus we haven't been to church for like a gazzillion years and everyone felt really unfamiliar. neway, i got pulled to join the 80s look alike competition thing. was in the final 9. Hao Yi and Joses won the iPod Shuffles though. everything else was pretty normal. some of them dressed up for the 80s theme thing. most of them didn't. Brandon stuck 20 cent coins on his jeans to be the bling. cool huh?

and Bryan thought Jill's my elder sister and she's in form 3 while i'm in form 2. irrelevant to the 80s thing but i just had to mention it cus its amazing how he could decrease my age by 3 years. i wonder how he's gonna feel when he finds out i'm turning 18 next year. pretty shocked, i think. do i seriously look that young? (oooh, i sound old by asking that. LOL.)

the party ended around 10pm. went to Kopitiam for dinner/supper. reached home near 12am. heard the fireworks coming from Rum Jungle. started my christmas day hunting for Junior who ran out of her cage. again. =.=

and now its about 4:17am. so i gotta go sleep and wake up at 10am tmr (i mean today) to watch MKMF 06. lame, i know! its 08 and they're showing 06 pulak which btw has no BIG BANG in it, not even TVXQ too but who cares right? haha.

MERRY MERRY CHRISTMAS again!

MAY Y'ALL HAVE A BLESSED YEAR AHEAD!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESUS!

xoxo

bang bang!
Monday, November 10, 2008
right. lets get down to it.

AMAZING RACE.

Group name: History Makers
Group members: Me, Brandon and his friend, Mok Jia Xi but we call him Ah Mok. i would be the oldest in the group. brandon's 14 and Ah Mok is 13. why am i always stuck with the lil boys? haha. no laaa, it was fun with them. although they kept teasing me. x/

we were suppose to have 10 checkpoints but due to limited time, they decreased them to about 7.

Flag Off:
The fastest to complete the puzzle leaves the church first.

Checkpoint 1:
Clue - Something bout King Arthur and an industrial knight behind a hill.
Meaning - A factory called Windsir, near church. so naturally we had to walk around and look for it.
Task - Artificial sound and mammons. means bird nest. take pic. next destination.

Checkpoint 2:
Clue - Billionaire, Derick Trump who likes to eat a dish which is salty and has herbs.
Meaning - The hypermarket named Billion. had to take a bus there. took one nearly a whole turn around town before reaching destination.
Task - Take a pic of the place that sells the dish. its "yim kuk kai" btw. the chicken stuffed with herbs and wrapped in aluminium foil before kukus-ing it.

Checkpoint 3:
Clue - something bout a name being any other name but if you look closer, the real meaning's in tow. and roses and lilies and trees in concrete jungle. =.=
Meaning - its a place which sells plants and stuff at Jalan Ampang Baru 6. took a cab there. then we took another one cus the place is actually further in and we had no more energy to walk.
Task - this was definitely the toughest task. they gave us 10 scientific names of plants and we have to take pics of them. bugged Cammie to googled em. my group ended up leaving that checkpoint last.

Checkpoint 4:
Clue - lol. there was no clue. the guy just told us to walk down the road and we'll see Iskandar Polo Club?
Task - Skill or Physical? Skill was using rocks to hit a can that was hanging from a tree like 50m away. Physical was drinking one whole can of Coke and running/walking to the end of the dirt road for Terrence and that guy's signatures. everyone ended up choosing skill but later changing to physical cus hitting the can was kinda difficult and wasting time. but it was a really long dirt road though, 10-15 minutes or more walk.

Checkpoint 5:
Clue - First line to the chorus 'Be to our God. Forever and ever.' and something bout legions and fighting.
Meaning - Salvation Army
Task - Do whatever the lady tells you to do. we wiped windows.

Checkpoint 6:
Clue - Princess Ra lost in the city where Rubeus Hagrid resides.
Meaning - Giant in Sunway City.
Task - Take a pic of a lonely island surrounded by palms which is also the gateway to the something and dens. its the roundabout near my apartment but they won't believe me. ish.

Checkpoint 7:
Clue - Mary lost her lamb. look for her at No. 2, Jalan S.A.S.U.
Meaning - i have absolutely no idea. haha. we all just took the cab and went to JJ. had to wait forever for the cabs cus they were busy and none that could come to our area to fetch us. around 15 of us were just sitting by the side of the road, waiting for any cab that would come our way. finally i got into one with Moses, James and Jeffrey. the cab driver was this old uncle and he was driving super slowwww. but i did get to learn my left and right in chinese at that time. lol.

reached JJ. had 20 minutes for "lunch" although it was around 4 plus adi. belanja-ed my members sushi and pepsi.

Final Task - look for the lamb surrounded by donkeys and dears in an alien land.

now this was horrible. no one got it right. we walked around JJ looking for lambs and donkeys. i even went into Timberland and asked them if they have anything made of fleece or wool. yes, i was quite crazy by then. wasn't the answer though and we went walking again. the race ended before we got the right answer. sigh. i was so close cus the answer was the stall selling accessories outside Timberland. its called Eden Lamp. 0.0"

went back to church. announced winner. my group was second in place. ahhh, so close right? nvm nvm. i still got an Ipod, just that i can't "touch" it. xD

had a lot of 'firsts' in this race. like my first public bus ride, my first time drinking one whole can of carbonated drink O.o , my first time walking for so long for another reason other than shopping and it was also the day where i spoke the most chinese. xDD and now i'm having the worst sunburn ever.

will try to post pics when i get em.

CAR WASH FUNDRAISING

went to MYC on Sunday morning. primers which consisted of me and the other lower sixers were in one group and we washed about 6 cars. in total we as in BB made RM650. had a few complains cus the cars weren't washed properly. Thank God the cars my group washed had no complains especially from this uncle who owned an old Benz and he was like walking around the car checking for scratches or something.

went home around 12 plus. it was suppose to end at 11am but my mum could only fetch me later. so Tak Hao kinda stayed behind to teman me and we had a chat. LOL. my heart goes out to him la. he's the kinda guy that was really wild when he was young and went through quite tough situations and he was like telling me bout his family and stuff. he's a fighter and he has the scars to prove it. he has a temper, a pretty dangerous one but he's way better now.

i don't know, i just felt for him and hopefully by being in BB, something good will happen to him. i trust God and i pray he'll one day trust in Him too. (:

oooh, final week of school. i can't believe i'll be going back to another WHOLE year of school next year. i can't believe this year is gonna end! this is so depressing.

hmmmm. i shall eat to make myself feel better.
ciao. again, all the best to the SPM and STPM students.

p.s is there a limit to how many times you can right click or open windows on the computer? lol. cus mine can't right click or open any new windows after using for about a few hours. =.=

what if there were no hypothethical situations?
