BIG BANG WORLD TOUR 'MADE' IN SINGAPORE
Date: 18th July 2015
Time: 6.00pm
Venue: Singapore Indoor Stadium

I know it's been forever since I last wrote and I thought, "Why not end the drought with a bang?" Haha, I know. #lamepun But seeing how I have not been in the mood to write, trying to stage a comeback with something I'm always passionate about is a good place to start.

And that is none other than my best 오빠들—Big Bang.

Jill and I decided that going to the Singapore concert was our best bet on getting the most original version of concert. Yes, we were paranoid about the various rules and regulations our dearest country cook up as they please. To avoid that, we decided to go for the Singapore concert. Although, in hindsight, we needn't had to. Oh, well. Money's for spending, right? And where better to spend it than on the boys who bring so much joy and love into my life?

So, we took a bus down, reached in the afternoon, checked in to our hostel, had lunch and went over to the stadium. Turned out that the concert was on the very same day that the Liverpool/Chelsea/some famous football team were having a match. You can imagine the human traffic that were uncles, families with little boys and white men mixed with teenage girls dressed in hip hop attire and ahjumma fans all breathing down each other's necks as we attempt to arrive in one piece at the stadium.

It was hot, there were people everywhere and getting a drink meant having to queue up for 20 minutes just to pay for it. By the time we reached, it was too late to look for fan merchandise and all that. Quite sad but we can live without it. It would be nice to feel like we're a part of the VIP community though.

We got in about 6pm, found our seats which were pretty satisfactory. But I think my goal as a fan (which I really hope to reach) is to be able to see them up close which means front row seats/standing pits/super expensive tickets. And that is why I need to find myself a job. /sigh

The concert started a bit later and it was amazing, mind blowing, crazy good. Would I have any other adjectives to describe it? It is after all, Big Bang.

Props were minimal but the usage of the split stage was brilliant. It got the boys closer to the fans and at the same time, gave them more space to jump around and stuff. The screens and the projections were used very cleverly, I mean they could just use it to show us their faces but they did more than that. It was artistic, actually and really complimented the performances and the song. The screens were simple but effective and even gave a sense of class to the whole thing.

Singapore Day 1

The boys were beautiful, energetic and really cute with their English. Seungri was attempting to speak Mandarin, good efforts but you could tell it was learned from the China concerts and well, since the way it's spoken is a little different outside of China, it was obvious.

The songs they performed were mostly their recent hit songs. Considering how each of them have so much solo work on their own, enough to hold an entire concert by themselves, it couldn't have been easy fitting everyone in. We did manage to see at least one song from each of them and collabs such as Seungri's Let's Talk About Love and GDYB's Good Boy. The performances were so good!

TOP in Doom Dada was scary, Daesung in Wings was exciting, everything else was Big Bang standard and that's the highest. We got to see Sober and If You performed. Just remembering how GD sounded in If You, my heart melts. My babies did very very well in the concert.

And it was a very sad moment when it ended about 2 plus hours later.

Which is why I ended up going for the Malaysia concert too. Heeh. That would be in the next post.

Fancams can be found in my Youtube playlist here. ^^
All credits to Jill of course and her iPhone 5.

Till then.
xoxo

hello, I'm back! I know, I know, I'm a terrible person for not being consistent. I've found that I'm not as keen as I used to be on updating and writing about the ongoing of my life. I've only blogged 7 times since the beginning of this year. ><

Its not that nothing much have been happening, in fact its been quite a busy hectic time from the get-go itself. Wow, now that I'm reflecting on it, I've really not have had the time to fully rest and just take time out for myself. From January with the internship to rushing for my internship report and getting a thesis supervisor to finishing my last semester of my degree and everything else in between, there really hasn't been a time to just breathe. Its no wonder that I feel so worn out now that I actually have the time to just let go for a while. Even that is an illusion really, I'm just stealing time when I don't even have any to spare. But I know that if I don't find rest, I won't be able to do what I have to do and it'll just be a repeat performance of the year before Korea. Okay, enough venting. Lets move on to some stuff that I've been up to.

There was a Singapore trip. Yes, again. I went with my mum and Jill before my finals started actually. YOLO right. There was also a wedding to attend, so we thought might as well make it a family trip as Jill has been wanting to go to Universal Studios Singapore.

Jill got her USS, I got my Gardens by the Bay. :D

Finally went to Gardens by the Bay, weather was quite warm but it did not deter me! The whole place is beautiful, it reminded me of Korea and I thought to myself that if I lived in Singapore, I would visit every weekend. We did not, however go into the conservatories as they were quite pricey and we did not plan for them in our budget. I would really like to go in one day though.

The wedding I attended was for a really old friend who I've known since I was 12 or 13. I am very happy for her and her husband, Joseph and I wish them all the love and happiness a marriage can bring. Despite having to make the journey all the way to Singapore, I was really glad to be able to be a part of it.

Then, we came home and I had to prepare for my finals. In the middle of that, my grandma's condition got really bad and my aunt and her family flew down from UK because we weren't expecting her to last long. This pic is with my aunt and my cousin, Dominic.

And erm, yea, she didn't. On 23rd July, Popo passed away. Doctor said she went without pain and I'm glad for that. Despite popo being in KL, I never really took time out to see her more often but I did manage to tell her that I love her, to tell her that she is surrounded by people who will remember her.

I went back to Ipoh for Raya and met up with the girls. For the first time in a long while, we had the most complete of us, which was 5 out of 8. Lol. I missed them, missed the ease and comfort that comes from years of friendship. I'm amazed by how we've changed and how we've also remained the same. #bff (:

That's been pretty much what's been going on. Like I said, there's really not been much time to just relax. I feel so drained, an introvert thing I guess because I feel like I've been surrounded by so many people lately. I don't mean it as a bad thing but I could use some time away which is what I'm doing now. And I know that I have to go on with life and all its requirements. So you know, just bounce. ^^

Tell me how to get back to
Back to summer paradise with you
And I'll be there in a heartbeat

Hieeeeee!
its been another long stretch of time since I last updated. Can't believe time has flown by so quickly, we're already in the 4th month, already a quarter way done with the year. the struggle with time has always been a pull and push thing, sometimes I want time to pass but most times, I just want time to dawdle along so that everything that needs to be done can be done.

the first three months as mentioned in the last post has been for internship. Internship was everything good and useful and enlightening. It was a really good start to my 2014. And now, its back to school and classes and thesis(!). its better now compared to my last semester; I've sort of made friends, its not so scary or lonely to walk into class and the workload is bearable. I am still required to step out of my comfort zone, to do things I am not good at but these are all part of learning and growing, I guess.

But I'm not here to moan and groan about my uni life or how fast time is zooming by. I'm here to write about my trip to Singapore with the girlfriends. It was only a 3 days 2 nights trip, didn't have the time to explore Singapore as much as I would have liked to but we did reach the goals we set for ourselves. ;D

Universal Studios!

it was great! I absolutely loved it, wouldn't mind going back again. the Transformers ride was the bomb! I want to live in that thing. haha.

I really liked Universal Studios, the details of every building, costume, prop. I loved how the rides incorporated the movies and I really think its worth going again. :D

after Universal Studios, we took a small tour around Sentosa.

okay, so I'm not doing this chronologically, so yea. this was on the way to Gardens by the Bay. It was too dark and too late for any proper pictures but I'm still glad I got a look at it. Must go back again though and cycle around.

I've got crazy friends yo!

I made new friends too, one who might become more? Haha. that's for another day. overall, we had a really good time in Singapore. I'm glad for the time away to just breathe for awhile, to refresh and gather strength for all the things I will face now. ^^

Also, being in Singapore reminded me of how much I liked it, the freedom, the safety, the places. I need to go there more often. Heeh.

There was also a short trip to Malacca with mummy and sis. We did nothing much because it rained quite a lot and Jonker Street wasn't open, so it was just some time spent together as family. (:

That's about the update for now. Have a good week ahead!

It must be L.O.V.E, 200% sure of that
