continuing from where i left off last post, here are the other things that happened during CNY. we visited relatives on the morning of the first day. it was quite a hurried visit because we had to head to Ipoh by lunch time.

once I reached Ipoh, we headed to visit my maternal side of the family. not much pictures as most of the time were spent eating. its just different when we eat at home. somehow everything tastes better. :D

rushed back to KL in the third day itself as i had class that very afternoon. my darling boyfriend came down to Kl on Friday. ^^

we had a short trip to Genting Highlands.

yup, that should be all about CNY this year. other than that, the days have been passing by smoothly albeit lots of stress about finding my SS4 tickets and looking for new place to move in. Thank God both issues are solved but this does not mean the end. oh well, a busy life is a healthy one.

will be going back to Ipoh this weekend since its the long weekend. gonna see my bf again! heeeh.

reunion dinner! gonna keep this short because i'll have to wake up early later today (approx. 6 hours later) to go visit relatives and go back to Ipoh.

the food was great, wished i could have ate more and today was one of the rare occasions where someone else peels the prawns for me. thanks, Portia! apparently she loves peeling prawns but she doesn't eat them. hm.

did a lot of washing but with hard work, came good times. the kids (cousins) were so much fun and we laughed so much over random things. ^^

yes, lame title is lame. :DD just a short a little update before the chinese new year because i foresee myself not having any internet connection on the two days that i'm in Ipoh.

been busy preparing for CNY; going around buying food and stuff, painting my nails, washing dishes, etc.

celebrated Jess's 24th birthday about 11 days late.

and this is about half the people that will be here for reunion dinner tmr night. (:

my holidays have ended. it is now in fact the second day into my new semester and things have been going well, i guess. this being my second year means adapting back to 3 hours of lecture, doing literature review and having lunch at the two same places every day should be no biggie. :D

but before my holidays ended, i was in Ipoh for a bit, then Penang for a while, then back to Ipoh for a day before coming back here to busy little Subang Jaya. while i was at Penang, nothing much happened. just stayed at home and went online and go on rides on boyfriend's bike. ^^

during that one day in Ipoh, i got to meet up with Michi, Ju Dee and Rachel. real glad to be able to see Michi before she leaves because that was the only time i could see her. the usual happens whenever we see each other, lots of talking, lots of laughing and lots of reminiscing.

guess this is it for now. other than studies, i've got other things to be stressed about namely Super Show 4 tickets, Lee Hom's concert tickets and finding a new place to move into. RAWR!

yes, this is the end-of-the-year post for 2011. :D which is way overdue. :/

amazingly, lots happened last year. to make this an easier read and an easier way for me to remember, i shall use categories! :D

and i will start of with my uni life. heeeh.

UNIVERSITY

like any schooling life, mine was pretty much the same. lectures, assignments, datelines, workshops, presentations and exams.

there were times when it was tough and nerve wrecking. its good that i'm getting used to speaking in front of people but it still doesn't come easy. one thing i should really acquire a habit of though is to finish my assignments ahead of time. i guess this could be one of my new year resolution.

when i look back, its so surprising to know i've done so much, spoke so much, wrote so much, that i've had the strength to go through all these and still be alive and sane-ish. well, this is a good indicator that i may actually come out alive at the end of this year too (can't guarantee the sanity though).

above all, i really thank God for my amazing classmates especially Andrea, Chareessa and Alice (so glad Mei Kei's back) because they are the ones that have kept me grounded and not lost. ^^

FAMILY

not much changes have happened. i am grateful that everyone's health remained well, noone was particularly in bad health although there were some scares with my grandma and grandpa.

my eldest sister got engaged! and there's a new baby on my mum's side of the family but i've yet to meet him unfortunately. if i'm not mistaken, there should be another one on the way! ^^

praying nothing unpleasant happens this year, only happy memories, kay!

BOYFRIEND ♥

i will not deny that it is superbly difficult and i will wish more than anything that we are not doing this long distance but this was the card dealt to us. gotta suck it up and live with every precious moment that i can get with him. over the past year, we have most probably seen each other about 15 times, each time ranging from a weekend to about a week.

we have had our arguments, we have had our tears but we also have had our laughters and mushy moments you ppl don't need to hear about. keke.

KPOP

2011 was very good, Kpop wise. went for two Super Show 3 concerts, seeing GD&Top and Seungri and SJM, seeing Super Junior again recently. i mean, it was GOOOD! also, being able to see other Kpop acts which came along was plus plus. but 2012 is greater, i can feel it except i don't have the money for it. sigh. currently, i'm looking forward to Super Show 4 in Spore and Lee Hom's concert in March. really praying i can make it for both.

one very positive thing that happened during 2011 is losing weight. :D hopefully, 2012 see myself maintaining this figure. i don't want to lose any more weight really and not to mention, i did not even lose those weight intentionally.

lets see, what has changed? i have started serving in church, in the nursery ministry. it has been exhausting but so rewarding to be able to look after the babies and they're just soo adorable, you know!

other than that, i really don't know what to say. personally, i feel that i have such a long way more to go, in terms of spirituality and maturity. 2011 has actually brought to surface new problems or should i say old problems that i have buried and now have to face or i'll forever be stuck in the mud of discontent. grrr.

mm, to end this post, i'll go with the ever cliched new year resolutions. pretty simple ones: do well in studies, do well everywhere else. or in the words of a psychology student, to shorten the gap behind my actual self and ideal self. (:

i have been so neglectful! i cannot believe i have not updated at all and today is actually one month since my last post. the horror! but i'm finally back and despite the lack of internet at home (using mummy's computer at work now), i will update!

to make this reader friendly, i shall keep this short. the past month has involved random baking sprees in the middle of the night, making tong yuen and a visit to Vertigo.

somewhere at the beginning, i went back to Ipoh for awhile, then came back down to KL for Christmas with daddy and family.

i'm pretty sure in the middle of all these, there was the annual church play which was really awesome. they definitely made use of the large space we had but i felt that the ending was a little abrupt :/

and then there was the trip to Cameron Highlands with the Boyfriend after Christmas. :DD it was a good trip; a little time for the both of us to enjoy some fresh air, relax and be together. ^^

and err, new year was spent in Penang with him and church. :D for now, i'm back in Ipoh without any internet (time to detox!) and waiting for Michi to come back from Sri Lanka so that we could meet up. keke.

was there around 5pm. seems like Jill and I have just given up on being crazy fangirls who'd queue up since the morning just so we can get good seats. experience has taught us how to be smart about things like that. frankly, being front in the row is good if you're in the rock pit but even then it depends on what kind of rock pit. haha. i'm sure i don't make much sense to those who don't even know kpop. maybe one day i'll do a post on something that goes Kpop concert 101. heeeeh!

and while we were waiting outside, vans drove past us and guess what?! the first van that drove past us had Siwon sitting inside. *flails* Jill claims Donghae was beside him but idk. the point is they drove past us! a while later, there were a few vans, one had B1A4 in it and they were so cute. one of them looked quite shocked to see us.

anyway, we finally decided to get squished in the queue and got in about 7.30pm. it apparently drizzled a little but God was good and it stopped and we had clear skies for the whole night. we sat pretty far back because the arrangement wasn't really conducive for viewing but yea, i think this was the furthest i've ever sat away from the stage. DD:

it started of with a guest performance. it was some Chinese singer. didn't catch his name though. then MOA 2011 kick-started with Miss A. they began with Goodbye Baby and they performed Breathe, Love Alone, some slow song, Lady Gaga's Poker Face and ended with Bad Girl, Good Girl. they were good, of course and Jia seemed to be really popular with the Malaysian crowd.

after that, B1A4 appeared and started off their turn with Beautiful Target and a few more other songs. they were quite adorable. ^^

it was so nice seeing them especially since we are not sure if SS4 is gonna be held here. it might even be the last time i get to see Teuk. whatever it is, the concert was truly most amazing.

everyone gathered for one final goodbye and the concert was over in two hours. we managed to catch glimpses of B1A4 and Miss A when they left the stadium and then, that was it. they even left to Korea on the same night.

i do feel slight regret for not being in the rock pit since there were so much interaction between SuJu and the fans. oh well.

so, this is my pre-exam post. totally random and possibly meaningless but fun nonetheless (for me, at least). ^^

here are the TOP few movies that i can watch over and over again without getting tired of.

Number 1: How To Train A Dragon

i adore Toothless! he's the cutest thing ever. if i could ever have a pet dragon, i'll get Toothless. i love cartoons and animations and this is by far my favorite of all. there was nothing very special about the movie, it wasn't beautiful in an Avatar-esque way. it was quite simple but the scene where Hiccup flies with the girl and the sky turns from blue to black to orange was the most beautiful scene ever. the movie has the typical storyline; just because you're different doesn't mean you can't succeed kinda story which makes this movie a good pick-up during a bad day. (: and i guarantee you'll adore Toothless.

Number 2: He's Just Not That Into You

i know there's so many romantic comedies out there but this one just really got to me. maybe its the combination of casts, maybe its my slight crush for Justin Long, maybe in the end; its happy ever after in a more-realistic-not-everyone-ended-up-together way but whatever it is, i really like this movie.

Number 3: Transformers

come on, even i can get into cars and manly stuff like that, okay? i mean, Bumblebee is most probably the only non-human-car-machine character i love. he's yellow and so cute (okay, this maybe due to his ability to speak through a radio). i think its really sexy though; the whole cars turning into world-saving machines (or is it the other way around?) :D

the list will go un-numbered from now onward because they're all really good which i recommend watching!

The Holiday

another romantic comedy. Christmas is coming, so wouldn't this be the perfect movie to watch? i would watch this again for Jude Law. heeh.

The A-Team

this movie has it all; cute guy, crazy guy, tough guy, smart guy, good humour, great action and feeling good at the end of the movie because who doesn't love it when a plan comes together?

last but not least, Love and Other Drugs.

this is unlike the typical romantic comedy where friends for benefit turns into lovers for life. this one has a very realistic feel to it because its more than being insecure about love or having a bad past. instead, it deals with something real like an incurable disease that could really test love. and of course, Jake Gyllenhaal is super cute! not to mention, Anne Hathaway is actually one of the few actresses i like.

yes, its been awhile since Halloween. so here's a little update of what i've been up to. nothing too exciting, mind you. :D

for my Moral Studies class, we went over to a school in Sg. Buloh for a community enrichment project. had quite a bit of fun with the kids, so all was good. the computer lessons that my group was in charge of went smoothly and the entire project didn't go through any big hiccups. just a tiny one when lunch arrived later than expected.

today was actually the last class for Moral Studies and the exam will be held next Tuesday. quite sad about not seeing the friends i made in that class anymore especially my group members. we had a good time together; suffering the early mornings everyday with each other can really foster relationships. LOL.

mm, what else was there? well, i fell sick for about two days with a case of suspected H1N1. thank God, it wasn't and i got better real quick. had a little issue with my Brain & Behavior assignment but its cleared now. over the course of two weeks, there were two presentations, one report and two nursery duties. :D

been quite hectic for the few weeks leading up to final exams but hopefully everything will tone down soon enough so that i could get some studying done. there's only one persuasive speech, one video and one report on that video to be done before the finals start.

the past few days have been busy busy busy like a bumble bee. it started with the Psychology Club Social Gathering last Friday. we had a sort of treasure hunt thing to look for the restaurant where we'll have our dinner. turned out to be Papa's John.

headed to i-City after the gathering with my sis, Elysia and Peter's cg members for laser tag. it was awesome and everyone should try laser tag! total adrenaline rush!

Jill had her awards ceremony last Saturday, which meant not one single day did i get to wait up later than 9am but it was all good because its not everyday that your sister is the only person in her course to get the scholarship. ^^ what made it even better was that daddy and Aunty Lynda attended the ceremony too.

Sunday service with Jayeslee was great. after hearing about their mum (which i might have teared a little at), i realized they are really such an inspiration and really awesome people.

had a week of mid-sem break last week.

was in Penang for the first half of it and spent the weekend over at Ipoh with mummy before heading back here. had another birthday celebration since i didn't get to celebrate my birthday with her. but lets not get ahead of myself. it all started on a Saturday morning where mummy brought me and my sister to eat fish head noodle. apparently quite famous too!

Saturday was a busy day because we went to renew Jill's IC which took about 10 minutes but the journey there was the time-consuming one. headed back to town to get kaya puffs, yim kuk kai, swiss roll and had tau fu fah along the way. and below was the feast prepared for my birthday.

please excuse me if i'm being brief and not so explanatory about things. my mind is simply too tired from all the screaming to be absolutely coherent right now. do expect loads of flailing especially when its nearing the end. :D

well, the day started off with lunch at home, took the cab to the stadium and reached around 3pm. walked around and got some fan stuff. i got myself a pair of Big Bang wristbands. (: headed over to where we were supposed to queue and sat and waited.

they opened the gates around 6pm and we managed to get quite alright seats. finally about 7.30 plus, the concert started with the MCs coming out and the co-MCs were of course, Kevin and Dongho. Dongho's Chinese was really cute!

the concert kick started with FT Island's Hello Hello. they went on to perform (not in order) Barae (I Hope), Bad Woman, Bing Bing Bing and Love Love Love. i discovered that Hongki can be quite sexy and has weird dance moves. keke.

next on the list was Teen Top. they performed the perfume song, Super Love, Angel, Will You Be My Girlfriend and Clap. they were very good live and i find one of them really cute but he's younger than me. all of them are actually. :/

4Minute came after. they have quite a number of girl fans and of course some boy fans too. you can hear these deep voices screaming especially during Hyuna's turn who was of course being very sexy. they sang Mirror Mirror, Heart to Heart, Hot Issue, Muzik and I My Me Mine.

then, it was U-Kiss! they did Neverland, 0330, Bingguel Bingguel, Everyday and ManManHaNi. now that i've heard Neverland live, i might actually grow a liking towards it. (: specially loved the fact that Hoon has more parts in Neverland. too bad U-Kiss had to leave right after their performance.

Park Jung Min was so adorable. i wasn't so familiar with his songs but during the break, he talked to us in Mandarin and then forgot some of the things he wanted to say. he took out this paper but apparently it was the wrong paper. it was sooo cute~ he was laughing awkwardly and all that but during the interview with the MCs, one of the guys brought out the correct paper and he told us what was written inside. it was in Malay, something about "akan buat yang terrrrbaik." *^^*

finally, the most awaited for performance arrived! SEUNGRI! he was amazing. he came in all cool and well, totally Seungri-like. he sang VVIP, Strong Baby and What Should I Do. i was already pretty much losing my voice but you just have to scream for Seungri, you know! the atmosphere immediately heightened when he came out. quite a lot of VIPs in the crowd. ^^ but then, who wouldn't love Big Bang?

Seungri was being all haughty and arrogant when he was being interviewed but that occasional smile that appeared was brilliant. when he was asked about his feelings since its the first time he's in Msia, he replied, "Finally, i'm here." i'm glad he realizes that Msia needs a Big Bang concert. and when he as asked what he thought about Msian fans, he paused for a moment before saying, "Bagus!" kekekekee. so clever!

and FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY, GD&TOP! omo! when they came out, the crowd went crazy. i went crazy, screaming my lungs out throughout their performances. it was all awesome, beautiful and brilliant! i finally get to see GD live! best feeling in the world, i'm telling you. i don't know how to go on. they were AMAZING! they sang 뻑이가요, Oh Yeah and High High. it was just 대박!

just one horrible thing. there was no encore. )))': they didn't even come out to perform together or something. i was so deflated after it ended, not wanting to believe that its really over that i almost cried. sigh~ Big Bang need to have a concert here ASAP!

still, i got to see GD,TOP and Seungri which is CRA, CRA, CRA, CRAZY! no words can describe how amazing it was.

my third birthday celebration with my beloved E7 CG of course!

erm, we kinda forgot to take a group picture, so yea, only pictures of me!

after CG, we headed to Station One for dinner/supper. i was busy playing this shake the Coke thing on Steph's iPhone that it totally caught me by surprise when Jill appeared with the cake and the guys behind her and all of them started singing Happy Birthday.

although i did guess that they will be celebrating my birthday that day, i was still pleasantly surprised when my sister appeared with the cake. ^^

love the ice-cream cake! thank you, everyone at E7 for this wonderful semi-surprise. you guys are awesome. (:

and i super adore the birthday cards! its so creative! Steph, you are a genius! they are literally cards! i was confused when Steph passed me the blue card holder and told me that's my present because i was wondering what am i supposed to do with it when suddenly all the birthday cards appeared and i realized its purpose after all. :D and the bracelet is real pretty too!

to all who wished me and celebrated with me, THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN! this has been an awesome beginning to my 20th year of life. (:

another year has gone, another year to go. i think the older i get, the better and more wonderful my birthday celebrations are becoming. tis' an amazing feeling and something i'm really grateful for. as mentioned in previous post, i went up to Penang to spend the weekend with the Boyfriend. (:

had a semi-surprise birthday celebration with him and his cell group on Saturday night after service. headed over to Starbucks after dinner where they celebrated my birthday.

lets see, what has happened over the past few days? well, Jill and I went to watch My Kingdom starring Hangeng and Wuchun last Sunday. good plot but poor execution. good news? Hangeng's acting has definitely improved and its nice to see him flaunt some martial arts skill. ^^

other exciting happenings include two days of serving in the nursery back to back, celebrating Mooncake festival with my family and my surprise birthday celebration!

nursery was good experience, seeing more babies and learning how to handle them. its a really emotionally draining time though, for me anyway. not sure why. hmmmm. :/

Mooncake festival was good. had my grandmother over at the house and we had dinner together, talked a little, laughed a little, bonded a little more. (: but the most exciting thing that happened was my surprise birthday celebration as it was totally unexpected. when i came down from the stairs and saw Jess holding a birthday cake with all of them singing the birthday song, i actually sang along wondering if its popo's birthday already. then, it dawned onto me that they were celebrating my birthday! :D

cake was nice and it was just super sweet for them to celebrate my birthday which is actually 5 days later. plus its rare to celebrate my birthday with my family, so this was a blessing indeed! (:

this was a picture taken during the Rotary Installation Night that happened a two months back. just wanted to post this here because i thought mother and daughter looked really pretty. hehe.

a new addition to my fluffy cute toys collection; Tuffy! this was a surprise and kinda random gift from the Boyfriend. heeeh. it now hangs on the bag he got for me. will be seeing him tomorrow and spending the weekend in Penang! /happyhappy!

hello, all! i cannot believe i have been away from this place for so long. its been two weeks since my last post and that, i believe is the new record. you know what that means? you're in for a long ride, so sit tight. (:

well, my second year at Sunway Uni has started. still the same old routine, get to class, get told of all the assignments we have and get lectured. apparently they have lightened our work load this sem, so hopefully this means less stress, proper sleep and pretty skin. ^^

starting my second year wasn't the only exciting thing around. A conference called Vision 2020 held by C3 happened last week and took place in Sunway Convention Centre. i had to rush to Sunway on its first day because my class ended late and sorta missed the praise & worship but i managed to attend the rest of the conference on time, so all was good. heeeh.

Ps. Kong Hee.

praise and worship was awesome. but what was really amazing was the offering challenge each time. they can really move you, the things they say and they're so eloquent and words just come out so naturally that you can't really help but be in awe. challenging people to give more than they want or can is never the easiest thing in the world but they sure made it look that way.

then, there was the preaching. the conference took place over three days, Ps. Phil preached for the first day, Ps. Kong for the second day and Ps. Phil again for the third. actually, Ps. Phil didn't even preach on the third day because he started praying for various countries and that took most of the time. it was something i don't see very often and watching Ps. Phil pray and prophesying for all these different countries, it made me wished he said Malaysia but that will be too many people on stage. still, it was a good experience and the presence of God was overwhelming at that time. you get goosebumps just watching.

the conference took place from Tuesday to Thursday and on Friday, there was an event called Love KL. every time C3 have their conference in whichever city they're in, they will donate a certain amount of money to that place. so this time, they donated to a family who suffered from an accident, the husband and wife were involved in a motorcycle accident and they couldn't work because of that. the miraculous thing was that the husband who came to receive the money and he came on crutches because his foot wasn't completely healed yet but during altar call at the end of the event, he came out to receive Christ and he was healed! i believe that's the first time i've witnessed a healing. ^^

the other person/ organization that received the money was this voluntary group of people who does search and rescue and things like that. the money will be used to purchase a new ambulance.

oh oh, and something else that was very exciting (but not very much when it was happening) that happened was that i had dinner with Ps. Saras and Ps. Dave. Ps. Dave was introduced on stage during the conference because he was in Pakistan and raised the dead twice. so when i saw him with Ps. Saras and found out I was going to dinner with them, lets just say i was freaking out in my head but the dinner went well and awkward conversation will always be awkward. it was most probably the chance of a lifetime to meet someone who has risen the dead before, so i am absolutely grateful to God for getting a chance like this.

after the conference was the weekend of CHC's 10th year anniversary and dedication service. the service was awesome with performances and Ps. Phil giving the offering challenge and Ps. Kong preaching. (: it was also my second time serving in the nursery and man, can i say how energy draining it is in there but its all worth it. the babies are so adorable!

and the rest of week went wonderfully. had homemade bak kut teh on one of the days. didn't taste very bad. hehe.

and OMONA, GD, TOP & TAEYANG WILL BE COMING TO KL FOR A CONCERT ON THE 24TH SEPT! CAN I SEE SOMEBODY PUT THEIR HANDS UP!

hello hello! (:

i'm guessing this would be my last update of my fun-filled semester break as there is only 1 week left to it. will be returning to KL tmr, just in time for Dr Ron Choong's second midweek service. (: i've been quite secretive about how i've been spending this last week of my break, haven't i? well, i have been in Penang. i went up two Fridays ago and stayed there till yesterday. so i was there for about 10 days? it was good time spent; but then, time spent with people you love is always good time spent. heeeh. ^^

arrived in time for CHC Penang's 6th year anniversary celebration. after service on Saturday, I was introduced to the cell group members of A6 and we headed off to Straits Quay for dinner. it was quite an expensive dinner but the food was good and it was sort of my first time eating Nyonya food.

i was also invited to Daniel and Jac's farewell party on Sunday night as they were heading off to US for work. their house was over at the mainland, which was also the first time i went over to the mainland. was told by Jerry that there was good cha kuay teow over there but we did not end up going there for supper as we were all very much full and slightly tipsy. keke.

on Tuesday, we went to send Daniel and Jac off at the airport and i finally watched Harry Potter. :D

attended cell group on Wednesday. i forgot which day it was but i had a seafood dinner which was yummy. hehe. i had crabs~ ^^

i decided to stay awhile longer so that i could attend the cg outing last Sunday. we went to Monkey Beach! we started a bit late in the evening, around 4pm and hiked our way to Monkey Beach but by the time we reached, we only had about half an hour or so to play and enjoy the beach because the boat that was to fetch us all back came around 6pm. still, we had a game of sand charades and then, a short game of captain ball where my group won (keke!) before we left.

headed off to have seafood for dinner, a perfect way to end the day. the friends i made during my stay over there were really nice and friendly and also Ps Saras who welcomed me so warmly to his church, i am so grateful that i got to meet them and spend time with them.

i really enjoyed my sem break and feeling quite recharged to face the new sem. really praying that everything will go well and there'll be no unhappy or sad things that happen.

Wednesday / 27.7.11

another guinea pig session was due. this time it was for an aroma-therapeutic facial/massage. i liked this one slightly better because it was shorter which meant less time spent lying on the bed and running the risk of getting a bed sore. and this is how i looked at the end of it. (:

after lunch, my mum and i were supposed to head down to KL as she had a workshop the day after. but before we went down, she had to wash her hair and i joined in, getting my hair blown curly along the way. the effect was not as pretty as i hoped it'd be. guess this means i won't be getting my hair permed anytime soon.

finally reached KL about 8pm, went for a Korean dinner and headed back to the apartment for sleep.

met up with Mummy in Pyramid after her workshop. decided to have dinner in Bubba Gump. (: Mummy stayed another night since it was getting kinda late.

and now, on to the television issue. as mentioned in previous post, i stole/lent a TV from my grandaunt. the sole purpose of the tv was to get my Unifi installed. wonder why this is so? because the lady who called said that the people might not even install my Unifi if they saw that there was no TV. so we lugged the TV all the way from Ipoh, up the 6 floors of my apartment and ta-da! now, not only do i have internet access, i have got a TV which is absolutely brilliant, i must say. :D

Friday / 29.7.11

mummy left early in the morning as she had an appointment back in Ipoh. later that evening, i received a really awesome surprise. one that meant and represent a lot more than just a book of pictures and the people in it simply because of the person who gave it to me. although, the book by itself is also magnificent! keke.

Saturday / 30.7.11

today is the big day! the FIRST service in No.3, the new CHC building. met up early with the rest of the cell group members and gathered in the lobby awaiting the grand opening.

the hall is huge! and the LED screen on stage is massive! and everything was pretty neat. gonna have to get used to this new place. :D its all very exciting though!

caught a late night movie after dinner, watched Captain America which is really good! so do go watch it!

Sunday / 31.7.11

had an early morning since i volunteered for SWAT and was at church since 7.30am to help out with taking care of the kids in children church. after this experience, as much as i like kids, i am kinda glad to have been placed in nursery where the babies there don't talk or run around. *__*

after service, i went to send a friend off and ended up taking 3 hours to get back home. it was a combination of lack of sleep, the fact that its a Sunday and the slightly undependable transport system where you have to wait 30 minutes for the train and 1 hour for the bus. sigh.

had dinner at daddy's place since he came back and cooked dinner. good food as always. (:

this is it so far. i'm in the second week of my sem break and really looking forward to just making the most out of it. and i've never been more grateful that the internet and TV arrived just in time for my break. ^^

Sunday / 24.7.11

reached Ipoh around 3pm. agenda of the night was Mummy's Rotary Installation event in Syuen Hotel. prettied up, wore sensible heels and off we went to the event. had to be on stage to help Mummy hold trays and pass presents and bouquets since she had to be part of the installation and couldn't be two people at the same time. all in all, it was good. no embarrassing moments where i tripped or anything like that; all thanks to my pair of sensible heels! :D

one thing i noticed that night was how wonderful it is to be acknowledged and thanked for the work you've done even though its really minor stuff. the president and just various ppl came up to me to shake my hands and thank me for helping out on the stage which felt really good! ^^ i think i understand a little now why they are successful people.

food happened. :D its not exactly awesome famous Ipoh food but i feel its hard to get food like this in KL. or maybe its just the familiarity that strikes me. whatever it is, i had a good dinner of very unhealthy for my throat food; sate, fried chicken, chee cheong fun.

i was recruited by my mum to model for her spa training. there was a lady who came down from KL to train the therapists on how to use the products to do facials and massage. so i had to be the guinea pig although of course, really i was the one getting all the benefits. hehhehe. but i did have 5 pairs of pairs touching my face and upper chest/shoulder area and having to lie down for 4 hours straight. :/

my face was all shiny and clean after the facial. (:

for dinner, we headed over to Brewster's for some Western food. one of it was pork knuckles? leg? foot? lol. whichever it was, it was delicious.

after dinner, i went to my grandaunt's place to steal her tv. :D explanations for that later kay. then i went to XXX's house and discovered the most fascinating gadget ever. it was a curved wooden thing with a hole in the middle. my mum took it out and asked me how to use it to hold a bottle of wine. i tried to fit it in various positions but to no avail. i was given two clues: 1. the wine bottle doesn't touch the floor and 2. it defies gravity. i couldn't figure it out and finally, pitying me, i was shown how it works (as shown in picture below). i stared at it for a few good minutes, in some sort of awe. its an ingenious invention in its simplest form.

as much as i did look forward to my stress-free exam-less days, they were a bore. D: and there was only one reason why: NO INTERNET! so when my mum called and said she's coming down, i was overjoyed! she came down on Wednesday and i had a blast because mummy in KL = shopping spree!

exams are over! i am alive and kicking but not for long, i desperately need to compensate all the sleep i've lost this past week. all the caffeine and the eyebags i have now were worth it since i think i didn't do too bad in my papers. *clasps hands* please pretty please, Lord, good marks! today was my last paper. although my initial plan was to go home and sleep like its nobody's business, it was disrupted since i decided to finally get a hair cut. nearly a quarter of my hair is gone! quite sad about all the hair that got snipped away but the new look is not bad. ^^

the last weekend was really good. Sunday, especially was quite awesome. Parachute Band is awesome! i love their songs and the worship session they led was brilliant. after service, we headed over to Sarah's house for our belated cg outing. ate durians! watched Hangover and generally, spent some time just hanging out with each other. we celebrated Siew Min's birthday last Thursday after cg and that's about all the exciting things that happened to me other than exams (boo!).

looking forward to the holidays. still waiting for the internet to be installed. grrr. how am i going to live without the internet?! and i have even ran out of shows to watch on my laptop. D: but other than that, all is well. (: going to end here before i start being incoherent.

er. hi. (:

i would write a fan account for Beast's Asia Tour that happened last Friday but i wasn't there, so i can't. its kinda sad because the first time we went for Beast's showcase, we stood pretty much at the other end of the wall and we could barely watch their performances and this time, we are pushed even further back, to the point where we can't hear or see them. D: thankfully, it was held in Sunway Lagoon, so there was still a little chance to hear them and watch them from afar. ahh, i'll never forget the smile Dong Woon gave me during the fansign. *__*

nothing much happened over the week. Pastor Rob Buckingham was the guest speaker for last weekend's service. he's a really funny guy. ^^ and then, I had some distant relatives that came over to Malaysia from Australia for a holiday. with them, came two little girls who are so adorable and pretty. Jemma is 4 years old and Naomi is 6. i'm not sure what is the exact relationship we have. they are the granddaughters of my granduncle and grandaunt. does that make sense? lol. they've left today, i think.

well. all the grueling, exhausting, stressful and sleep-depriving assignments and quizzes are over. now, its just to face the final battle; the exams! its a good three weeks away which means ample time for me to study. i must do well this time. :/

and there was no better way to celebrate my temporary freedom than with someone very special with whom i enjoyed a very sweet weekend with. ♥

my internet is still MIA. so don't expect much updates anytime soon really.

U-Kiss "Bran New Kiss" Malaysia Showcase

Date: 10th June 2011

Time: 8pm

Venue: Main Entrance, Pavilion

yes yes, another fanmeeting! initially, it was a fanmeeting that required fans to buy tickets to attend but Radioactive took over and decided to make it into an open to all event. which explained why at first, Jill and I weren't planning to go see them but when i found out it was free, we decided to head over and take a look.

i guess you could say we aren't really super hardcore fans of them like we are for Super Junior/SJM. this time, we didn't bother to fight and be squished in the crowd, trying to get the closest view we can. this means however, that we had to tiptoe most of the time just to catch glimpses of them since we were so far back and i couldn't really take clear pictures or fancam of them either. DD:

mm, not much to say about the fanmeeting. they started off with a short interview session, then headed on to Q&A by the fans. so they picked lucky fans to go up and these fans get to ask them whatever they want. most of them were quite smart and took advantage of this to ask the boys to sing them a song or rap to them. some, of course just asked random questions. Soohyun and Hoon were the ones asked to sing while AJ had to rap which is where he did his r square pi thing. i think Hoon is really cute! :DD

after the Q&A session where the fans not only took advantage of the questions but also of their close proximity with the boys (one girl would NOT stop hugging Eli!), there was a dance competition. the boys chose other fans to come up and dance Manmanhani and Bingguel Bingguel. so this girl won and she got to take a polaroid picture with all of them and even got a group hug.

the boys were feeling so warm from the weather that some of them slowly stripped off their jackets and in the end, all of them took off their jackets which caused quite a commotion from the crowd, as always. and later during the album signing session, all of them really just took off their shirts and came out in their wifebeaters and sleeveless tees! oh ya, we celebrated AJ's and Dongho's birthdays too!

after all the talking and getting molested by fans, they went backstage to change into their performance outfits and came out performing 0330 first. no doubt they're awesome. the voices, the dance moves; these are the things that you can be sure U-Kiss will give their all in. the performances were flawless and it was really nice to see the two new members involved in the older songs. since we were so far back, it was a lot of tiptoeing. most of the time i could see the performances but i paid more attention to just watching Hoon. have i mentioned he's really cute? keke.

after 0330, they did Bingguel Bingguel, Shut Up and ended with Manmanhani. i kept watching out to see how well the two new members fit in with the older songs. so i was pleasantly surprised when AJ did Xander's rap for Manmanhani and he really made it his own rap and not just repeating what Xander used to do. i was looking out for that signature fox hand gesture that Xander used to do but AJ didn't do it which was a good thing. ^^ Hoon, on the other hand, weren't given a lot of lines in the songs which explained why i screamed extra loud during his rare solo parts.

after the performances, they came out again for the album signing/giving. Jill and I went to take a closer look at them before we left. Kiseop has really nice arms. hehe. this time our head were on pretty straight since we decided not to stay till the end and just watch them like how we did for the last fanmeeting.

ooh, i have no idea i wrote such a long essay for this. thank you if you've read all the way here. (: one last thing before i end, i just want to say that U-Kiss is awesome. its pretty sad that they still haven't gotten the recognition they deserve. not only do they always give 150% in the performances despite the weather or the crowd, U-Kiss really has the chance to go international. they rarely need a translator since Kevin, Eli and AJ speaks perfect English and they can translate for the other members. well, hopefully things will get better for them, especially in Korea.

overall, this fanmeeting is definitely one of the better ones that i've endured. one because we didn't have to struggle and be sandwiched by other fans. two because its free and three because we got to see U-Kiss. :D

my batch, Batch 13 had a very interesting workshop today entitled GLBT Awareness. GLBT stands for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender. Dr Alia was the presenter and we learned a lot about GLBT. it was quite successful seeing that there were some people who turned up for it and the food and drinks that we prepared were not gone to waste.

there was a website that Dr Alia provided where you can go check on your sexual orientation. so if you're confused, go over to the website shown in the picture below. just a few questions and it'll give you a better idea of your sexual orientation. (: below is mine, actually.

Super Junior M @ Himpunan Sejuta Belia

Date: 28th May 2011

Time: 10pm

Venue: Menara KBS, Putrajaya

well, the day started off just like how any kpop-related event start; hours of waiting. SJM was supposed to come out around 9pm or 9.30pm but when we were waiting, the hosts said they'll come out at 10pm. we were there from 3pm onwards but we only decided to join the crowd of Elfs around the stage at about 6pm which was less pain for us, really.

there were a lot of other things happening like roller skating, local bands performing, paragliding, etc. too bad we didn't really go around since our main concern was for SJM. their vans actually drove past us when we were on our way to Putrajaya! caught a glimpse of Henry's backup dancers. ^^ which meant when we arrived, we were just on time for their rehearsal. managed to catch glimpses of Hyuk, Kyu, Zhoumi and Henry and heard Kyu and Zhoumi practicing their solos.

after their rehearsal ended, Jill and I walked around and finally decided to sit down on the curb facing the artists' tents. you know cus we were trying to see if we can spot any of the SJM but we didn't. :/ after the launching and speeches and stuff, we decided to head into the crowd before we get pushed any further behind and that was when the misery and suffocation started.

after listening to the local acts (there were a few of them and i don't know any of them at all), we still had to wait till 10pm for them to come out. unfortunately, Donghae and Siwon weren't there. D: but anyway, at 10, they FINALLY came out. started off with Perfection which was awesome! the crowd immediately went crazy of course. they had a short interview session after that and some fans got the chance to go up and cuddle. grrr. then, they sang Blue Tomorrow and the solo performances happened after that.

after Blue Tomorrow, it was Henry's solo, Off My Mind. it was the first time he's performing it and its to us! :DD he was looking super cute as always!

Zhoumi sang Fish Leong's '3 In The Morning' and looking good in his glasses. idk, i have a thing for him in his specs, it makes him look like this super sexy lecturer. hehe.

Ryeowook's solo.

then it was Ryeowook's turn. he sang one of Theresa Teng's famous songs. i forgot the title though. after Wook, it was Kyu and his 'If Only You Heard'. Eunhyuk's performance was last and the best! he did a Michael Jackson song dance thing which meant a lot of crotch-grabbing and thrusting moments. *grins*

there was another short interview after the solo performance and then, they proceeded to singing Destiny. got a perfect view of Min and Wook!

i was so busy taking videos and pictures that i couldn't watch the performances properly. although to be truthful, even if i wasn't doing anything with the camera, it'll still be hard to watch them properly seeing all the head and hands and boards that are blocking my view. i'm going to be looking for fancams after this, especially for Hyuk's dance solo!

Super Girl was the encore and that ended one full hour of SJM. for a free event, it wasn't too bad. the crowd and the squishing and the standing for hours are already a norm to me. its just one of those things you endure for the sake of Kpop. ^^

to continue where i left off, my mum took me to Mokuren again for lunch this time. now, although only being there twice so far, i'd really recommend it to any Japanese food lover. you can see by the Japanese people that are always frequenting this tiny place which means the food here must be really good. (: and it is. with reasonable portions and prices too!

Mid sem break was supposed to start earlier if it wasn't for my Community Mental Health assignment which was to organise a workshop and yippie yay, it was a workshop on STDs.

thankfully, the workshop went on smoothly and the only interruption that happened was during my part of the presentation. but i got through the kids' interrogations quite alright and at the end of the workshop, we had a short game and the students and my group departed from the lab with much relief although for different reasons.

could have gone home right after the workshop but had to stay back to finish off the experiment for my Social Psy assignment. after much fretting, Andrea and I went up to the cafeteria and it took a while to gather the courage but Andrea did and we managed to snag ourselves 4 guys to complete the experiment quota. ^^

finally, i headed off to board my bus back to home sweet home Ipoh. had to wait 45 minutes while getting sprinkled from the pouring rain for the bus to arrive. reached Ipoh safely at about 9pm (the bus was scheduled to leave at 5.30pm!) and another grateful thank you to God for His protection since we passed by three car accidents on the highway; one had a car that flipped over.

caught a midnight movie and watched Priest. it felt like a really short movie; it was action-packed and i believe its some kind of a new marketing strategy to draw in more viewers by promising a sequel after the movie. something like Fast 5 where obviously there will be a sequel. for RM13, the movie wasn't that worth the money spent.

met up with Thanush and Jenny in Parade seeing that its their sem break and they're in Ipoh. had dinner and a bowling session with them. we caught up a lil and gossiped a lil. i even bumped into Calvin during dinner and had a nice lil chat with him. i really missed him. he was a really good friend to me in ACS. (:

already mid-week and i haven't touched a single thing related to the quiz and the assignment due the week i go back to uni. oh dear, better get started.

so i've been dilly-dallying about the engagement post. i apologise for that. but i'm here now, so no worries! :D

if some of you are confused, its the engagement ceremony for my eldest sister, Jess with her boyfriend, Wai Fong. it was a simple ceremony held at the poolside of a really nice apartment in USJ1. my whole family was there, even Jill came back from Spore and Wai Fong's family was there too. they came down all the way from Ipoh. Jess's and Wai Fong's friends attended too and yea, it was a small but just the right amount of people for this event.

this was taken when we gave her the card i hastily made. eek. she seemed to like it though. :D

we started off with food and finally it was the ceremony as i like to call it. they said their engagement vows and exchanged rings and it was all sweet and romantic and would make any girl's heart go awww. (:

introducing the new addition to my apartment. A kitten found left at the side of the road is now sleeping in a box in my housemate's room! :D its a cute naughty little thing but i'm sorta allergic to it. D: nevertheless, we're planning on keeping it as least till its grown up. she's such a dear though. ^^

and the picture below was taken when i went to Ipoh last week with Andrea and we visited the petting zoo. i forgot the name of the snake on my hand but it likes to curl around your hand and its semi-venomous. then, i found that out that Nia has passed away. felt really sad about it. she was a beauty.

this was just a random short update. one assignment has been handed up today. many more to go. have a great Easter weekend, everyone!

well, i'll start off the post with a sad farewell to my beloved hamster that has been with me for around 2 years. Sesame Junior shortened to Junior, who I first bought to cure my other hamster's (Mango) loneliness but that didn't really work out because hamsters are solitary animals. this little thing who was more unaccustomed to her new surrounding compared to my previous hamsters and had me worried with her constant sneezing the first few weeks i brought her home. she was slightly hostile towards me at the beginning but as i had to feed her medicine everyday, we formed a special bond between us. after Mango passed away, Junior moved into her cage and i moved her down to KL recently since no one could take care of her back home in Ipoh.

she was already ill and i'll admit i kind of hoped she'll pass away sooner because then, she wouldn't be another responsibility i have to look after. what a horrible person i am. now, i miss the noises she makes at night. now, my room is just too quiet. now, I've got nothing to love and love me back in return. ):

to my dearest Junior, I'm sorry you couldn't be properly buried. I'm sorry you had to go the way you did. I'll miss you.

on a different note, I've changed the layout of my blog again. i still don't have internet connection in my apartment and i have cooked two dinner for myself so far. :D

gonna be going for the Easter service in CHC tmr! i foresee a great weekend ahead. (:

the place was pretty, the room was nice, the stereo had an iPod deck and the door slides open to the swimming pool. oh, and the bathroom had the coolest shower thingamajiggy (head?) and a painting of Ray Charles too.

managed to catch Rio in the cinema. not a bad movie. ^^

idk, i just like it if my post has some sort of graphics to it instead of just words (referring to why GD's pouting face is up there). heeeh.

lets see. exciting things that has happened in the past week.

well, i went to work during the weekend. now, that was exciting and not to mention, tiring, exhausting, scary at times and have i mentioned exhausting? mainly because my job as a blueberry promoter was located in Pavilion and that's pretty far away from where I am now. thankfully, Siew Chien dropped me off the first day and i got over my fear of talking to random strangers and started talking to random strangers! technically, all i did was hold a plate of blueberries and ask everyone who walked pass me to try them and then horribly persuade them to buy the blueberries. sales was pretty good on Saturday but dropped a little on Sunday.

what made my work easier was the fact that most of the customers in Mercato supermarket are foreigners thus making it easier for me to converse and sell my berries. i believe i've seen nearly every eye colour there is in humans while i was there. the kids that came along were super adorable! there was one boy that just kept staring at me to the point that i actually felt uncomfortable. :/

i was quite used to the standing that i had to do for 8 hours each day since i have done a similar job when i was in Singapore but what made it unbearable was that i had to wear my boots which have about 1 or 2 inches of heel and that really hurt! after i limped back home on Sunday night and plopped down on the floor, i couldn't even get up to take my bath.

yup, that ends my weekend. the pay is good, so all in all, the suffering was worthwhile. :D even saved money on lunch on Sunday because a new friend made when i was working paid for my McD lunch. ^^

semester has been progressing in a manner i would call slow-enough-to-breathe-but-fast-enough-to-start-panicking. so ya, i have an assignment that's due in 2 weeks. gonna be heading back to Ipoh next week with Andrea to do the job analysis for our IO course.

really glad that the weekends are packed for me this whole month or i'll be sitting dumbly in my room reading journals after journals. heading to Penang tomorrow to accompany my mum during her Rotary conference thingy. back to Ipoh the next week and the last week of April will be dedicated to Easter!

that's about all the updates i have for now. might blog about Penang later on.

wow, i just realised how little i've blogged since this year began. i apologise for the lack of enthusiasm but it really depends on whether or not i've been going places and doing things that are not uni-centered or kpop related. heh. i'll try to make up for it with this post since i have been going places and doing things during this sem break. (:

lets see. sem break started the moment our Motivation & Emotion paper ended. :D it was a horrible paper but lets not focus on that. after crossing a few hurdles, my classmates and I got ourselves to Penang for a trip. since Alice is a Penangnite, we stayed over at her sister's house and toured around Penang for a few days.

headed up to the Kek Lok Si temple, ate the famous cendol, shopped a little but the highlight would be the drive. since we had to get around Penang on our own, Andrea volunteered to drive Alice's manual-geared Wira. the first day was exhilarating seeing we caused some sort of road blockage going up a hill and failing. finally this nice guy came and drove our car to the corner so that there will no longer be a queue of cars behind us. the experience was horrifying but hopefully an enriching contribution to Andrea's driving experience. there were several other driving mishaps along the way but Andrea got the hang of it pretty soon using our amazing psychological skills (LOL) and we were cruising the roads of Penang like we were in Miri. :DD

the pictures are still stuck in my camera because i forgot to bring my cable along with me. it'll be up on facebook when i get back to KL. (:

during the holidays, i've gotten sun tanned, had Penang's laksa and cendol, watched most of the movies playing in the cinemas right now and gotten a slight fix for my durians. also had a very nice Japanese dinner, got sick somewhere in between all these and even met up with old friends. all in all, i've spent these holidays pretty well. only a few more days to go till i start my 3rd sem of my 1st year and its gonna be hectic!

queuing. again. i don't think i could keep this up. went to Sungei Wang to get Super Show 3 Msia tickets. reached there about 5.30AM and thought i had a chance to get front row seats. unfortunately, later on, there were a few hundred people of front of me. ): thus, i have decided not to go. heartbreaking, isn't it? did continue to queue to get a friend's ticket in the rock pitt though. finally got it at 11-ish. met Remita which was a really good thing since she was way more more ahead in the queue than i was. -.- and if i didn't meet her, i would still be queuing till now.

i guess i can't be too greedy. i've already watched it twice anyway. i'll most probably just go hang around in the stadium during the concert day and get free stuff. heeh.

one thing that made my day infinitely better was a visit to Uniqlo and getting my Big Bang shirt. ᄏᄏᄏ

this past two weeks have been hectic. but everything seems to be falling into place and i really should just put my worries into God's hands and trust Him.

gotta get back to work. exams coming soon. my eyes are falling asleep. Big Bang and SJM's comebacks are soon too! ᄒᄒᄒ

the start of my week in Singapore was epic, to say the least. CNY 2011 is awesome. mainly because of Super Show 3 and not just one SS3, but two! the fan accounts are here if anyone is interested. (:

with the tiring but crazy good weekend behind me, Jill and I headed to Resorts World aka Sentosa to look for job vacancies. ended up just walking around taking pictures of floral animals and eating gelato ice-cream. HEEH.

the flavours were dark chocolate (YUM!), pistachio (YUM YUM!) and strawberry.

instead of reunion dinner, we had reunion lunch. got treated to really nice champagne too. dinner was at uncle's in-laws' place.

the first day of CNY started off just like my previous CNY in Singapore; a visit to my uncle's in-laws' house. it was lunch buffet and sitting there with open hands as the aunties walk around giving out ang paus. ^^ was there nearly the whole day. the highlight of the day other than the ang paus was most probably seeing Hankyung on TV. :D

on the second day, Jill and I headed to Marina Bay Sands to take a look since Jill has never been there. loads of people around and many were heading towards the casino. walked around a bit, had bibimbab for lunch and went over to Orchard Road. in the evening, we went to Jurong Point hoping to find job vacancies for Jill and had Wendy's for dinner.

will be heading home later to loads of work. /sigh. this is life. (:

yes, before I came back to KL and start my semester, we consisting of me, Rachel and Chinway headed up north to visit Serene and have a look at the little state filled with paddy fields and Pizza Huts. :D

spent three days and two nights over there. went around to random tourists spots and enjoyed the scenery. they have really nice scenery. (: Taman Ular was sort of traumatising. the paddy fields were pretty. Tasik Melati was peaceful. her friends were nice and friendly. ^^ went to Gua Kelam and attempted to climb up to the look out point but gave up halfway. we were not prepared for it. took a trip to Padang Besar too. not much there, unfortunately.

overall, it was a very hot but enjoyable time. we bathed nearly 3 to 4 times a day over there. *___*

and now i have to seep back into my study mode. seeing that this is my short sem, everything is sped up and has to be handed up earlier. grrr. i need to go read journals in fine print.

a trip to the countryside.

since we had a free two days one night stay in Felda Hotsprings, we decided to make good use of it. headed there on Tuesday morning, not a very long ride, about an hour if you're driving leisurely. however, the road seemed never-ending. finally, we saw the sign that welcomed us!

our villa got upgraded to a bigger one since there were three of us. it was a real pretty place, the surrounding was serene and the villa was well-furnished. we even had our very own jacuzzi pool outside. ^^

not wanting to waste any time, we headed to the pool. that big giant rock behind us used to be an enormous purple octopus before the renovation. :D it was quite fun since the whole pool belonged to only me and Jill. no one else were there. after a few rounds on the slide, we went over to the hotsprings.

there weren't many people around, in fact i can count them on ten fingers. since it wasn't crowded, we were able to enjoy better. didn't stay very long there though.

and that was our whole day. kinda. went back, took a nap, had dinner in the Coffee House and went back home to watch tv. :D

the next day, i drove all the way home from Sungkai! received some lessons on highway driving from my mum. heeh.

its 9 days into the new year, thus i shall not procrastinate any longer on my new year post. however, before i proceed, lets do a little recap since my last update. caution: long post is long.

had a really nice dinner in a really nice house that had some really nice drinks such as the one below. ^^

on Friday afternoon, we decided to take an unannounced visit back to ELCE or now known as ELCERIA. although its not the same place i used to go, nothing much has changed. some of the teachers that used to teach me are still there. one of them even got married. i was really glad (not sure if glad is the right word but yea) to see Mr Lee since he wasn't there the last time we visited and we simply assumed he left. it was such an epic scene, when all of us barged into his class and he's like "who are all of you?!". he finally recognised us but still, if you know how Mr Lee used to be, then you would know that the fact that we met him is really kinda brilliant. :DD he still looks/ sound/talk the same, albeit a little rounder on his face.

i could write a whole essay about my time in ELCE, times that were precious and so wonderful to me. i had a great time there. i met most of the friends i still know now and learned a lot when i was there. ELCE is a part of my life and what made me who i am today.

and today, we took a trip to Taiping for reasons unknown. for fun, i guess. watched Tron there too. not a bad movie, btw. at least its not draggy and boring.

and yes, finally moving on to the real thing. introducing my NEW YEAR POST! *applauds*

2010 has been a year of learning, of stepping out of my safe cocoon and i guess, of being an adult. ultimately, it was a much better year compared to 2009 in certain ways.

in terms of Kpop and even Cpop (Lee Hom!), it was the best year ever! the year started off with Super Show 2 which was EPIC and then there were Beast, U-Kiss and JYJ. not to mention, i even went for Lee Hom's autograph session and kinda saw Jang Geun Suk from afar when i was working in Spore. great year indeed! hopefully, this year won't be any less awesome. diverting from my hopeless fangirling, 2010 actually started with much uncertainty and discouragement. STPM was just over and it was pretty clear even before the results were out that i didn't do very well in it. at that time, i didn't bother about what to do or think except to get my ticket to Super Show 2 which led to me working in Singapore for approximately 4 months. LOL.

it was a good time to be away from home; i really needed to go somewhere and learn to be on my own. although i wasn't far from family since i was staying with my uncle's family and my grandparents, technically, i was on my own most of the time. work was tiring, standing 10 hours a day is not easy but i had very nice colleagues and working there opened my eyes to people and how different all of us are and yet, how similar our goals and dreams can be and even how education is really important after all.

the really good thing about Singapore is its transportation system and its safe surroundings. made exploring the place so much easier for me. i managed to meet a few old friends and make a few new friends. i even had a little adventure of my own. ^^

i came back to Ipoh after my shop had to close down and i was suddenly unemployed. with some persuasion from my mum, i went to work in Lost World of Tambun where i assisted in the Junior Ranger's program. this was another place i learned a lot from; how to deal with kids and how to deal with animals. i draped Manja, the Albino Burmese Python around my neck as if its a scarf, i can kind of tell the birds apart, learned how to differentiate male and female tortoises and how to hold a rabbit properly. it was an amazing time. worked there till my time in Sunway University started. i gotta say i got slightly phobic of kids after that but as time passed, i realised that kids still have a special place in my heart as do animals. :D

it was a whole lot of worries and headaches before i got admitted into Sun U. i was really close to just giving up and finding a job in Singapore instead but by the grace of God, my grandma lent me some money, my PTPTN loan got approved and that meant i could study. (: and this is where i am now, studying and will be for the next three years.

unfortunately, 2010 was also the year i lost my grandma from my mum's side. my sister and I used to spend the weekends at her house when we were younger. sometimes, she'd bring us out to town and when she goes for her mahjong sessions, we would sneak out of the house to play. i miss her cooking and despite the language barrier, she cared a lot for us in her ways. i'm kinda sad that my cousins won't be able to grow up knowing her. thankfully, i got to spend some time with her when i was in Spore before she passed away. i still miss her a lot.

well, moving on the third quarter of the year, my first semester of my first year of Bsc (Hons) Psychology in Sun U started. so far, everything is going well. i don't think i did very badly in my exams, guess i'll find out on the 11th when my results are out. attended and still attending City Harvest Church. met an awesome bunch of people in my cell group, E7! a very unexpected thing happened during this time, one that came as such a surprise, i still wonder if its true but its a good thing. (:

wow, if you managed to stick with me and read through all that, congrats! here's a virtual cookie for you! i think i pretty much summarised the whole 2010 year. writing all these down made me realise how much experience and knowledge i have gained over the past 12 months. thank God for each and everyone of them! my only hope is that 2011 will be an even better year in terms of growth (but not in size, mind you) and Kpop! :DD

if there is one new year resolution i will make, then it is to write a birthday post for everyone's birthday. its important to let them know they're loved, especially since i'm the kind that's not very good at expressing myself. heeh.

i first met Kavitha in Form 6. i've heard of her before that but have never met her till then. she was really friendly and really, if you see us now, it'll feel like we've known each other for a long time. she was definitely one of my closest friends in Form 6.

she was caring, helpful and i think we just clicked from the beginning. and soon we're gonna be housemates, if everything goes right. LOL.

we have the kind of friendship that we know will last despite whatever. so ya. GFF!

yes, new layout for the new year! isn't it super sweet? :D

on the first day of New Year.

the sleepover went well. we had a really nice dinner cooked by Michi's grandma. prior to dinner, we lazed around watching stuff on Astro and finally proceeded to a few games of Monopoly Deal while waiting for dinner to be served.

we decided to celebrate Michi's 21st birthday a little earlier seeing that we won't be around on her real birthday. got her a cake and a pressie. (:

we also got our souvenirs from Rachel and i gave them their Christmas presents from me.

the day ended with 2 movies, first one was 3 Idiots which was a great movie and the second one was An American Haunting which two of them fell asleep to. so finally we decided to head to bed instead of finishing the movie.

woke up the next day pretty late. had a late breakfast, watched a few episodes of How I Met Your Mother and then had lunch. lunch again, was cooked by her grandma and was awesome. although i had to gulp down a few glasses of water, it was worth it. ^^

on the second day of New Year.
woke up at 2 in the afternoon. had a walk/run/jog in the evening since the weather was really nice. walked over to my mum's place in LWOT Hotspring & Spa.

got to take a picture of the geyser that shoots out on an hourly basis. its prettier looking at night. (: and it goes higher too actually.

walked back home and had dinner.

how i wish i can return to being as innocent and carefree like a 7 year old girl.

woke up early today to take a dip in the hotspring pools in Lost World. it was a relaxing and warm start to my day. and after lunch, i went to visit Petting Zoo and ended up getting caught between two little girls and having to babysit them. it was fun though, just hanging out with two people who has no concerns at all and could run and fall and get wet and cry and smile again.

it was a day well spent. ended the day with a really nice dinner in River Nile, a restaurant that just opened outside the hotspring. a real pretty cosy place, go visit if you haven't. chatted a little with Jeffrey, an old friend who's currently working there too. ^^

Christmas week was fun, kinda. my cousin, Amanda came back to Msia for a visit. so we hung out for a few days. had Christmas eve dinner together. and also two hours in Meeples. :D

i don't know if you've realized but i haven't been in the blogging world for 12 days! that's nearly two weeks which is a lot if i might add, seeing that it is the holidays now. (:

continuing on from the previous post, i went down to KL with my mum and sis. there was this Beauty, Spa & Wellness Carnival in Mid Valley that my mum needed to go to. attended several talks with her as well. one thing i learned from one of the talk apart from aura, how energy affect emotions and kitchen ingredients as DIY spa treatment is : if you don't mind, it doesn't matter. now, this is powerful if you understand what it means. (:

mum and sis left on Sunday and i stayed on. had a wonderful week after that. had dinner with E7 and an hour in Meeples on Monday. dropped by to Aquaria which was a waste of money D: but not a waste of time. (: watched a few movies and did a little Christmas shopping.

it was also production week in church, part of the reason i stayed on in KL. it was a pretty good play. (:

on Sunday, after watching Pins & Needles for the third time, this time with my stepmum in the morning, we headed off to First Baptist Church to watch Humbug!, a production from US. the storyline wasn't bad and we went in for free. heeeh. it wasn't supposed to be free.

had dinner in Delicious in 1Utama. great dinner thanks to Aunty Grace.

and today, we attempted some sort of Christmas shopping but kinda failed. got myself two tank tops from F.O.S though. LOL.

Tuesday: lunch in Kong Heng which is in old town. headed over to Kavitha's house to hang out. ended up watching Social Network which might have been less boring if i was paying attention to it. had a small plate of rice and chicken curry while i was there. YUM! now i just need to fulfill my craving for Stadium's wantan mee and i'm done! Jia Wei, PQ and Yian Fong left after a while. Michi, Jenny and I stayed on for another half an hour more.

the three of us had dinner in Michelangelo's; pizza was the menu for the night.

Wednesday: woke up early to drop Jill in school before heading over for breakfast. the only breakfast i'll wake up early for is of course none other than dim sum. met up with my uncle and his family who dropped by Ipoh on their way to Genting Highlands.

the day continues with some new clothes, a facial, a haircut and also a rather painful experience which i will not elaborate on. :D finally had dinner in Marpoh before we headed home for the day. was granted around half an hour of driving time from my mum for me to practice my parking skills. LOL. the people in the basketball court must have thought the person in the red car is going crazy. the day ended with me hitting the sack at 9.

will be going back to KL tmr! :DD

been back to Ipoh since Friday!
and what did i do the day i reached home?
clean the toilet and Junior's cage. -.-

had a great time on Sunday. went to hang out with Michi, Rachel, Jenny, Ju Dee, Thanush and Kavitha, was in Parade for a while and made quite a bit of noise with all our sharing and laughing. headed over to David's Diner for lunch after that. continued on with our gossiping. and hanged out at Thanush's house after for more catching up. :D overall, it was a great day spent with them. will definitely miss them when all of us go our separate ways again.

already in the Christmas spirit. ^^

took Junior to the vet today. thankfully, she's not sick, just need to take 5 days of antibiotic for that lump on her leg.

will be doing more stuff/going out in the coming days. will be heading back down to KL this coming Friday too. sigh. seems like there's so little time for all the things i want to do.

i was late for my exam today. DD: exam started at 9. i woke up at 9. my first time ever and definitely my last! it was a traumatizing moment. thankfully i got in. plus i had to run up four floors to get to my exam hall. never again!

other than that, this friday's my last day of exam. i can't believe i've been here for a semester. God has been real good to me, that's for sure. will be heading back to Ipoh this Saturday and meeting up with everyone. i miss Ipoh soo much and its food too! HEEH.

seems like the holidays will be packed for me. i like! (:

State of The Arts KL was CRAZY AWESOME! if you weren't there, you missed out on possibly the greatest event of this year!

reached there about 1.30pm. got into the hall and State of Insights started promptly at 2. i think this is the first time i've been to an event that followed their schedule perfectly. :D it was jam-packed with speakers back to back. it started off with Paul Moss who was inspiring. "Imperfection is not just okay in art, its actually necessary." then it was Daphne Iking and even with me sitting so far away, i could see she was really pretty. some of the things she said were pretty jaw-dropping but all in all, she was crazy in a good funny way.

Audi Mok was slightly quieter but cute in a way. LOL. his advice to inspiring musicians who wants a try in the Malaysian music industry: make/sing songs in Malay. up next was Niki Cheong who I actually have no idea about. heeh. but he rambles. i like. (: and most probably the star of the day was Harith Iskandar. i've don't think i've ever laughed so much before. his stand up comedy is the best thing to watch.

the art that were on display were interesting. got myself a few buttons. :D
To be old and wise, you must first have to be young and stupid.

State of Talents started at 8pm. there were two bands that performed at the beginning. really liked them. mm. Dennis Lau was there too. he did a few numbers accompanied by a saxophone. i understand now why my mum loves the saxophone. its so saxxy! ;D

there were in total about 10 acts? all of them were good. i screamed till i had no voice. the 12 year old boy with his Chinese yo-yo won the grand prize. the second runner up was this dance group that incorporated magic into their routine. they're called Baby Blue Eyes or something. they're cute! keke. first runner up was a group of guys and girls beating recycled buckets.

ooh. the beatboxing dude was awesome. loved the fact that he sang (sort of) Sorry Sorry in the middle of his performance. LOL. the drums group did a little of Sorry Sorry too. *giggles*

ended at 10pm sharp. too bad i didn't win anything from the lucky draw. oh well. next year maybe?

popo's 84th birthday dinner went really well. she was really happy to see all her relatives and i'm glad she had a good time. ^^

today felt like an early Christmas to me. from top to toe, i had money spent on me. i got my fringe cut, got my contact lens, bought a pwetty purple jacket and a purse, had dinner in Chili's and got a pair of shoes!

the past week has been eventful and that's just mildly saying it. but all in all, its been a good week.

i had a test for Eng for Psy on Thursday, a quiz for Stats on Friday, mum came down with Jill on Friday, three church services with Ps Phil Pringle and met up with Jenny, Kavitha, Beh and Weng Kit yesterday!

its never ceases to amaze me how time and distance really don't kill our friendship. i think in a way, it makes us closer. (:

on another note, Ps Phil's sermons were AWESOME. all centered around faith which to me was very important. ever since i accepted Christ, faith has always been something that i had trouble with. i went for all three services, so yea, i learned a LOT. praise God for such an amazing man. and he was so hilarious while preaching and when he had an altar call before he even started preaching, now that was an eye-opener. really cool!

two things which struck me the most.
1. Trials are compliments from God. He doesn't approve a trial unless He knows that you can get through it.
2. God is for you, not against you. He will give you what you want if you tell Him what you want. you know how we want what God wants because we know what He wants is most probably the right one? well, sometimes it could be the other way around too. (:

that should be about it. i'mma get back to my assignment now.

firstest of all, HAPPY HAPPY 19th BIRTHDAY, JENNY & HASVAANY!

i was thinking that the date sounded very familiar, went to facebook and ta-da! my suspicions were confirmed. its your birthdays! i dedicate this post to you two, both who are like my bestest friend ever! :DD

hm. i met her when i was in Form 1. she was already a very close friend of Michi and when we knew she was coming to MGS for her secondary years, the whole gang of us were looking forward to her. she was my deskmate in Form 1 and we had the greatest time ever! we sat right smack in the front of the class. and we were laughing about things and talking, of course. i specifically remember us laughing about Ms Loh's underskirt? and giggling every time someone mentioned the word 'thing'. ohh, those good ole days were the best.

and the years after are history. i really missed her when she left to college after form 5. we didn't meet up often after but before she left for India this year, we went out a couple of times. can i say we totally have chemistry? we are so similar in quite a number of ways. i don't know but sometimes there are just people you click with, ya know!

she's in India now, doing medicine. I MISHHH HER SOO MUCH! Hasy, you're the funniest, kindest, prettiest girlfriend and i couldn't ask for more. heeh. i sound dramatic. but you absolutely deserve it! i hope you had a great start to your 19th year of life. and i hope that the days from now on will be filled be with loads of fun, adventure, hugs and love! and not to forget, cute guys! ^^

ooh, Jenny and I go wayyy back. we have known each other since Std 5 and that was 9/10 years ago? i still remember calling her and we would have the longest conversations that lasts for hours. we can talk about anything from tv shows to homework to whatever that crosses our minds. and since Form 2, she has been my deskmate for 3 years. we can get on each others nerves like you have no idea but at the same time, we can get along like nobody's business too.

we went to form 6 together and that meant more time spent together. it was nice to have someone close by when we just started form 6. and we roughed that 1 1/2 years out. i would say that our characteristics are very different from each other but it think that's why our friendship have lasted this long and is still going on. we share similar hobbies, one of them, Kpop. and she reminds me of my sister in the way she occasionally irritates me 0.0 which explains why sometimes i call her Jill instead. keke. sorry!

Jenny is awesome. like AWESOME. you need to get to know her to know her awesomeness. and i pray that you will be blessed all your life and that your 19th year will be a year of great experiences, great adventures and a great time to grow, learn and have fun! God Bless!

the weekend has been hectic and the few days before it too. Psychology Club had a Social Gathering on Thursday. had dinner in Frames. although it was to welcome my batch, only me and Andrea went. +__+ but it was fun and we met loads of our seniors. :D

and on Saturday morning as early as 4am, a group of us including E7 and Calvin's friends went to Broga Hill. the climb was not as terrible as previous ones that i've done but it was still pretty taxing considering i haven't exercised in a million years. reached the peak around 7am? the view was nice. (:

then on Sunday, it was queuing day! to buy tickets for the JYJ Showcase happening on the 17th. wasn't an extremely long queue. so all was good. walked around Pavilion and Times Square after that. thanks, Chin Way for teman-ing me the whole day! ((:

on Tuesday aka today: Jill is in the house, ppl! LOL. she came down to KL to visit grandma.

we spent two hours in Meeples playing board games. I was severely traumatised by a game called Snorta! don't get the cockerel when you play this game.

this is about it for now. currently having my mid sem break, thus the freedom. going to sing karaoke tomorrow! heeh.

my last teen year as everyone calls it. turning 19 is one step to being older and hopefully, wiser.

well, when i went home during the weekend, Umma and Jill celebrated my birthday with two slice of cake. ^^

my dad cooked roast pork as my birthday dinner. yum yum!

but i think the best thing ever was when Mei Yen, Siew Min, Rachel and David surprised me with a birthday cake right outside my house. and i know the rest of E7 who didn't make it were there celebrating in spirit. LOL. but really, that was the first surprise thingamajig that people have done for me. i absolutely did not see it coming. i thought i was just gonna pass my form up! Mei Yen was like 'what form?' and suddenly they appeared from behind the car. Siew Min with a cake in her hands and them singing Happy Birthday. i was speechless! :D Chin Way, stuck in a traffic jam, huh?

so thank you thank you once again, you brilliant bunch of ppl for making my 19th year start off so wonderfully. Rachel, your card is pweetty and as you know, my wishes were very realistic. i don't know if its a good thing or a bad thing but half of the peeps that wrote in my card suggested one way or another that i eat a lot. -.- and God really finds the best way to answer my questions/worries. cus I actually found the answer in Siew Min's bday message. 정말 감사합니다! there are no words to describe how thankful and blessed I am to have met you guys in E7.

lets summarise what's been happening since i went back to Ipoh, my beloved hometown. the moment i stepped down from the bus at 8pm, i was whisked away to this Malaysia Day Beach Party held in Lost World. it was my first time ever in a beach party and topless guys and girls in bikinis were everywhere! my sis and I just hung around, walked between the dancing crowd, listened to the DJs spinning their music and basically did nothing else. finally decided to leave about 1 am.

that was Wednesday. on Thursday, I woke up in the evening, was online till my mum came home. went out for dinner and did the dumbest thing ever. drank tea. conclusion, i have been awake for more than 24 hours. brain's a little mushy right now. Jill and I ended up on our laptops, watching Kpop stuff, chatting about everything from Kpop to boyfriends or the lack of and other random things that crossed our minds. around 7 in the morning, we decided to watch 500 Days of Summer. by the time the movie ended, mummy has woken up and a new day begins or in our case; continues.
